Questions

Are Tyvek wristbands made of paper?

No, but they look like paper, which is why they are often called paper wristbands. Tyvek is DuPont's brand name for a nonwoven made of fine polyethylene fibres (HDPE). It looks and feels like paper but is hard to tear and does not let water through.

Can Tyvek wristbands handle rain?

Yes. Tyvek does not let water through, so the band copes with rain on the day of the event. It is made for one day: if the band has to last several days, vinyl or woven is the better choice.

Can Tyvek wristbands be reused?

No. The adhesive closure is single-use: cuts in the tab make the band tear if someone tries to peel it off. It cannot be taken off and put back on, or passed on to someone else.

How many colours can the print have?

One print colour is included, and each extra print in one colour costs €19. 2–3 colours cost €29 and full colour €49 per design, instead of the extra print fee. The band comes in 13 colours from the factory's colour chart.

Can you print in full colour?

Yes, with gradients, photos or illustrations, for €49 per design. Full colour is printed on white Tyvek, and your logo is then printed in its own colours. With one colour, text and logo are printed in the print colour.

When is vinyl or woven a better choice?

Vinyl when the band has to last several days, for example for staff, crew and press: soft vinyl with a snap closure in 29 colours. Woven when the band has to match your brand for a whole festival: printed in full colour edge to edge and soft on the skin. Both have their own pages under More wristbands below.

How can you keep prices so low?

We have many years of experience with event wristbands and work efficiently: the bands are made directly at the factory with no middlemen, you design and approve the proof yourself on the site, and orders are shipped together. That keeps the price down, not the quality. We check your files within one working day before the order goes to the factory, and reprint free of charge if the bands differ from the proof.

Are the wristbands tested for harmful substances?

The vinyl and woven wristbands are tested against the REACH candidate list (223 substances): no substance above the 0.1% limit, and the phthalates DEHP, DBP, BBP and DIBP were not detected. Email us if you would like the test report.

Do you have prices for very large volumes, e.g. 100,000 wristbands?

The price tiers run up to 25,000 pcs per band type. For larger volumes we offer a volume price by quote, and you get an answer within 24 hours: press Request a quote in the price box in the configurator once the quantity is entered, or use Email us. Order in good time, so that production and delivery are finished before the event.

What happens if the bands are misprinted?

If the bands differ from the proof you approved by more than the tolerances in the terms of sale (point 4: shade, placement and dimensions), we reprint them free of charge and send them as quickly as possible. If new bands cannot arrive before the event, we credit the faulty bands instead. When the box arrives, compare one band of each colour with the proof, and report the fault within five working days and before the bands are used, with the order number and a photo (point 7). Anything that was in the approved proof, such as a typo, does not count as a misprint.

How many spare bands should we order?

A common rule of thumb is 5–15 percent extra per band: less when the guest list is closed, more with entry at the door and outdoors. The +10% spares button in the configurator adds ten percent to every band in the order, whether vinyl, woven or Tyvek, rounded up to a whole ten.

Which files work?

Upload the logo as PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF or AI and the proof is drawn straight away. EPS is saved as an original file for production, but upload the logo as PNG or PDF as well. Vector files go with the order automatically, and you attach further original files when you order, up to 50 MB per file.

Can the bands be numbered?

No. Each design is printed in at least 100 identical bands, so serial numbers and names per person are not possible. If you need to tell bands apart, use one band colour per role, day or zone.

Can we order well before the event?

Yes, but the bands are made once the order is placed and arrive 2–3 weeks after the approved proof, even if the event is much later. If you want them closer to the event, place the order later: enter the event date in the price box and it shows the last day to order. The design is saved in the browser in the meantime, and Share draft gives you a link to it.
